The OKPMA is proud to sponsor the American Diabetes Association's Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes in Oklahoma City. The walk will take place at the Oklahoma City Zoo on October 23, 2010. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the walk beginning at 9 a.m.

Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes is an exciting walk and fundraising event that lets both the runner and the walker raise money for diabetes research, educational programs and advocacy. Walkers secure funds prior to the event and receive incentive prizes for their fundraising efforts. This is an event for the entire family to enjoy. We have a fall festival atmosphere with lots of activities for everyone after the walk.Over 420,000 individuals are living with diabetes in Oklahoma. The American Diabetes Association is searching for every day heroes to help in the fight against diabetes!

Join the Oklahoma City and take a "Walk on the Wild Side" and Step Out to Fight Diabetes at the scenic Oklahoma City Zoo. Come for a great walk and fun-filled community celebration with entertainment, breakfast and a Health and Wellness Village with the latest information in healthy living.

Enjoy a beautiful walk through the Zoo amidst the creatively decorated Halloween trails and amazing animals! Raise a minimum of $25 and receive admission to the Zoo for the remainder of the day!
